About Me
I am an Assistant Professor at the Digital Security Department at EURECOM.
I have long worked on the subject of multi-biometric fusion, which has led me to focus on the robustness and vulnerability of biometric systems. Over the years, I have become interested in new challenges such as the transparency and fairness of algorithms based on artificial intelligence. I recently set up my own research group to address these issues.
Currently, my work focuses on the analysis of factors influencing AI-based algorithms, the explainability of internal processes in so-called ‘black box’ systems, and the analysis of the presence of biases in biometric recognition algorithms as well as the procedures for correcting these biases.
Since obtaining my PhD in Signal and Image Processing in 2016, I have worked on numerous national and European projects, often helping to write and coordinate them.
Research
My research interests include biometric recognition, fairness in AI, and trustworthy machine learning systems. You can find my publications on Google Scholar.
Teaching
I teach the course Computer Programming at EURECOM, which introduces fundamental concepts of programming, algorithmic problem-solving, and software development using modern programming languages.
